LOGAN, Utah-Thursday, Utah State men’s basketball head coach Craig Smith announced the signing of Australian national, guard Sean Bairstow.

Bairstow is a 6-8 185-pound guard out of Brisbane, Australia who averaged 22 points and 10 rebounds per game for Churchie High School of Brisbane last season.

Bairstow, who will have all four years of athletic eligibility remaining for the Aggies if he so chooses, was a member of the U19 Australian National Team and is also a 2-year member of the U20 Queensland Team.

Bairstow’s sister, Stephanie, played for the Aggies’ women’s basketball team from 2012-13 to 2013-14.

His older brother, Cam, starred at New Mexico from 2011-2014, earning all-Mountain West Conference honors for the Lobos.
