LOGAN, Utah-Monday, Utah State head football coach Blake Anderson confirmed he is undecided on his starting quarterback headed into the season opener Saturday at Washington State.
Upon the release of the first depth chart of the season Monday, the Aggies list both juniors Logan Bonner and Andrew Peasley as the starter at quarterback.
In conducting his first regular season press conference as Utah State’s head coach, Anderson addressed the situation.
Anderson confirmed that the Aggies are still in a quarterback competition at this stage.
Futhermore, Anderson did not rule out the possibility of playing both quarterbacks against the Cougars.
Bonner transferred from Arkansas State to Utah State to continue to play with his head coach with the Red Wolves.
Peasley was the Aggies’ starter last season after the dismisall of Jason Shelley from the program.
Last season, Peasley completed 53.6 percent of his passes for 415 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions.
