LOGAN, Utah-Monday, Utah State football had 12 players named to the Athlon Sports preseason all-Mountain West Conference teams.

Boise State had the most representatives from the Mountain West Conference with 17.

Fresno State was next with 13. The Aggies came in third with their 12 selections.

Those Aggies on the all-conference first team included senior all-purpose player Gerold Bright, senior defensive end Tipa Galeai, senior cornerback DJ Williams, junior quarterback Jordan Love, junior punt returner Jordan Nathan, junior kickoff returner Savon Scarver and junior linebacker David Woodward.

Aggies on the second team included senior placekicker Dominik Eberle and sophomore offensive lineman Alfred Edwards.

Those on the third team are senior defensive tackle Christopher ‘Unga and Nathan as an all-purpose player.

On the fourth team is senior defensive tackle Fua Leilua.

The Aggies commence their regular season August 30 at Wake Forest of the Atlantic Coast Conference at Winston-Salem, N.C.
