LOGAN, Utah-Monday, Utah State University’s athletic department confirmed four former football standouts will participate in postseason All-Star games over the course of the next two weekends.
Kicker Dominik Eberle will compete at the East-West Shrine Game Saturday at St. Petersburg, Fla.
Eberle made 21 of his 24 field goal attempts (.875) on the season and all 45 of his PAT attempts, scoring a team-best 108 points.
Eberle was named as an honorable mention All-American by Pro Football Focus.
Defensive end Tipa Galeai will compete at the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl Saturday at Pasadena, Calif.
Galeai earned second-team All-Mountain West honors by posting 5 sacks and 9 tackles for a loss in 2019.
In his Aggies career, Galeai posted 112 tackles, 15.5 sacks and 22.5 tackles for a loss.
January 25, quarterback Jordan Love will compete at the Senior Bowl at Mobile, Ala.
Love completed 61.2 percent of his passes (689-1125) for 8,600 yards, 60 touchdowns and 29 interceptions during his collegiate career.
Love went 21-11 (.656) as the Aggies’ starting quarterback.
Tailback Gerold Bright has been invited to play at the Hula Bowl January 26 at Honolulu.
Bright posted 5.1 yards per carry, running for 921 yards on 182 totes in 2019.
Bright ran for 2,145 yards (5.9 yards per carry) and 22 touchdowns while hauling in 72 receptions for 704 yards and six scores for the Aggies during his career.
