USU-Eastern Utah Men’s Basketball Standout Signs With Florida National

HIALEAH, Fla.-Tuesday, USU-Eastern Utah announced the signing of one of last year’s standout men’s basketball players.

Bogota, Colombia native Nico Rojas has signed a letter-of-intent to continue his collegiate career at NAIA school Florida National.

Rojas played in 59 games for the Eagles over the course of the past two seasons, starting 28 of them, while averaging 6.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, while shooting 61 percent from the field.

Rojas is the third Eagle from the 2017-18 season to continue his collegiate career as Rafael Monteiro has signed with Augusta University and Milan Surlic is now with the University of Sioux Falls.

With the Conquistadors, Rojas will compete in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association against other eastern coast schools, primarily those located in Florida.
