SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, University of Utah athletics director Mark Harlan added to his staff via a promotion and an addition.
Kyle Brennan was promoted within the ranks to chief operating officer/deputy athletics director for internal operations and Scott Kull was added to the staff as the deputy athletics director for external operations.
Kull was with Harlan at the University of South Florida as his deputy athletic director from 2016-2018 and had been serving as the institution’s interim athletics director since Harlan left for Salt Lake City in June.
Brennan will now manage the day-to-day operations of Utah athletics. This entails compliance, facilities, equipment, event management, finance, human resources and academic support.
He will also oversee sports supervisors.
Kull will supervise development, communications, marketing, ticketing, multi-media branding, licensing and alumni relations.
Brennan and Kull have previously worked together, as they were both at Texas Christian University in 2005-2006 when Brennan served as the Horned Frogs’ compliance director and Kull as the associate athletic director for external operations.
