SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday, three University of Utah football players were named as All-Americans as confirmed by the Football Writers Association of America.
Senior defensive end Bradlee Anae made the first team while senior tailback Zack Moss and senior defensive tackle Leki Fotu made the second team.
Anae has posted 12.5 sacks on the season (7th nationally), 13.5 tackles for a loss, 35 tackles, one pass breakup and a forced fumble.
Anae is the 17th Ute in school history to earn first-team FWAA All-American honors.
Anae has 29.5 career sacks, which ties the school record, and 41 tackles for a loss (4th in school history).
Anae has now made every possible All-American team with this honor.
This season, Fotu has 27 tackles, 8.5 tackles for a loss, a sack, two pass breakups, two quarterback hits and a forced fumble.
Moss ran for 1,359 yards (12th nationally) on 219 carries for 6.2 yards per carry (20th nationally) and 15 touchdowns (tied for 12th nationally with Louisiana Tech’s Justin Henderson and Louisiana’s Elijah Mitchell).
Moss and Fotu also made The Associated Press’s All-American third team while Fotu made the Walter Camp All-American second team.
