EPHRAIM, Utah-Three members of the Snow College women’s volleyball program have announced plans to transfer to Division-I programs, all within the state of Utah. Andreanna McKee and Bridget Triplett transferred mid-year to Southern Utah University, and Sarah Morley has singed to play for Weber State University, beginning Fall 2020.
Andreanna McKee, a 6-1 outside hitter from Brigham City, Utah, totaled 293 kills during the 2019 season, averaging 2.42 kills per set. She hit a stellar .272 on the season and chipped in 51 blocks on the season. McKee earned All-Region honorable mention honors, and was named to the Region XVIII All-Tournament team after helping lead the Badgers to the 2019 Region XVIII Tournament Championship.
Bridget Triplett, a 6-1 middle blocker from Hunstville, Utah, hit .204 on the season, racking up 91 kills on 260 attempts. Triplett collected 81 blocks on the season, averaging 1.29 blocks per set. Triplett helped lead the Badgers to a 3-1 win over Southern Idaho with a season-high eight kills and six blocks. She had seven games during the season where she hit .400 or better.
Sarah Morley, a 5-6 outside hitter from Payson, Utah, earned Second Team All-Region honors after ranking second on the Snow College roster with 321 kills. Morley averaged 2.7 kills per set and hit .209 on the season. As a six-rotation outside, Sarah also ranked second on the team with 343 digs. Sarah was named the Region XVIII Tournament MVP after racking up 25 kills in the Badgers’ 3-2 win over Utah State Eastern in the championship game. In the semifinals, Morley totaled 17 kills. For the tournament, she averaged 4.7 kills per set. Morley will transfer to Weber State and will compete for playing time as a libero/defensive specialist.
The Badger trio become the 12th, 13th, and 14th players to transfer to four-year programs over the past four seasons, including the 8th, 9th, and 10th players to transfer to NCAA Division-I programs. Over the past four seasons, players from the Snow College volleyball program have transferred to a number of D-I programs, including Boise State (1), Brigham Young (2), Southern Utah (4), Weber State (1), and Utah State (2). Other players have transferred to Dixie State, Southwestern Oklahoma State, Bethel, and Southern Virginia.
