Three Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network School Alums Compete At NCAA Track & Field Regionals This Weekend

SACRAMENTO, Calif.- This weekend, three Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network School alums will compete at the NCAA Track & Field West regionals this weekend at Hornet Stadium of Sacramento, Calif. on the campus of Sacramento State University.

BYU star junior distance-runner Whittni Orton, formerly of Panguitch High School will compete in the 1500-meter run as the 5th seed in the West in this event.

Her teammate, fellow junior distance-runner Anna Camp, a Millard High alum, will compete in the 800-meter run as the West’s #6 seed in the event.

Additionally, competing for Weber State, is sophomore star hurdler Kate Sorensen, formerly of Gunnison Valley High School. She represents the Wildcats as the West’s #11 seed in the 400-meter hurdles. This is arguably the toughest race to run at the collegiate and international level.
