TAYLORSVILLE, Utah-Per a Wednesday announcement, the National Junior College Athletic Association confirmed SLCC assistant women’s basketball coach Marcilina Grayer has been appointed to serve on the newly-formed NJCAA Board of Regents.
This new board is part of the organization’s restructuring of governance, including the move of the national office to North Carolina.
Grayer, who will represent Region 18, will be joined by a board chair, men’s administrator, women’s administrator, four at-large members and six members of the Presidential Advisory Council.
She is one of eight women to serve on the governing board.
The 24-member board will provide sound structure with a national leadership presence. Additionally, this will fit the mold for not-for-profit organizations and institutions.
Grayer is a former SLCC women’s basketball player under current head coach Betsy Specketer and concluded her playing career at Dixie State University.
She was also named as one of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association’s Thirty-Under-30, which recognizes the top 30 women’s basketball coaches under the age of 30.
