TAYLORSVILLE, Utah-Early Tuesday, the SLCC athletic department announced one of the star Bruins’ women’s soccer players earned weekly honors from the Scenic West Athletic Conference.

Earning player of the week honors for the #15 ranked Bruins was freshman Samantha Tippetts of Smithfield, Utah and Sky View High School.

She has helped lead the Bruins to a 2-0 start in SWAC play after sweeping the USU Eastern Eagles.

All told, Tippetts scored two goals in four shots on goal situations during the series for the Bruins.

This weekend, the Bruins face another in-state SWAC rival as they travel to Ephraim to face Snow College.
