(Undated)  —  The Reno-Tahoe area is declining to bid for a future Winter Olympics, leaving Salt Lake City and Denver as the two American cities in the running the for the 2030 Winter Games bid.

The US Olympic Committee is expected to choose between the two cities by the end of the year for the right to be a bid city.

Salt Lake City last hosted the Winter Olympics in 2002.
