LOGAN, Utah-Saturday, Utah State head football coach Bronco Mendenhall announced the hiring of Robert Anae as the new offensive coordinator for the Aggies’ football program.
Anae brings 36 years of collegiate coaching experience to Logan and has previously worked as Mendenhall’s offensive coordinator at BYU (2005-2010; 2013-2015) and Virginia (2016-2021).
Additionally, Anae has coached at North Carolina State, Syracuse, Arizona, Texas Tech, UNLV, Boise State, Hawai’i and Ricks College.
He has also worked at Arizona as the Wildcats’ offensive line coach and run game coordinator.
Anae started as a coach at Hawai’i under then-Rainbow Warriors head coach Dick Tomey, where he served as an offensive line assistant in 1986 and 1987.
Anae is a 1986 graduate of BYU and earned his Master’s degree in 1990 from Hawai’i while earning a PH.D in sociology from BYU in 1999.
