Football

Region 14

NEPHI, Utah-Cade Bowring amassed 191 scrimmage yards on 21 touches and posted four total touchdowns as the Juab Wasps clobbered North Sanpete 28-5 Friday in Region 14 football action. Bowring had scoring runs of 5, 4 and 2 yards and hauled in a 21-yard scoring pass from Zac Cowan as Juab was never seriously challenged by the rival Hawks this evening.

North Sanpete scored on a safety via a mishandled punt by Kollin Robertson and kicker Luis Rodriguez nailed a 38-yard field goal attempt as the first half expired. Connor Jorgensen added an interception as well to pace the Hawks defensively

Juab outgained North Sanpete 289-169 en route to improving to 6-1 on the season and more importantly, 2-0 in Region 14 play. The Wasps are next in action October 4 as they host American Leadership.

The Hawks (6-1, 1-1), on the heels of suffering their first loss of the season, return home to Mt. Pleasant October 4 to battle Manti in an old-school rivalry game.

SPANISH FORK, Utah-Jacob Negus threw three touchdown passes to Marcus Kemp and ran for another score as the American Leadership Eagles outgunned Delta 37-32 Friday in Region 14 football action. Jake Jackson had a pair of touchdown runs and Austin Topham ran for another score in the loss for the Rabbits.

MANTI, Utah-Jax Parry threw a pair of touchdown passes to Travis Thompson and added another scoring strike to Alex Cox as the Manti Templars got past Union 21-7 in Region 14 football action Friday. Colten Harding had a 5-yard touchdown run in the loss for the Cougars.

2-A South

BEAVER, Utah-Crayton Hollingshead had scoring runs of 33 and 15 yards as the Beaver Beavers pounded Enterprise 49-0 Friday in 2-A South football action. Ryker Albrecht also had a pair of scoring runs (71 and 2 yards), while EJ Allred, Hunter Carter and Kaleb Barney also had touchdown runs for the Beavers.

SALINA, Utah-Brooks Myers and Daniel Garcia recovered fumbles for touchdowns and the Millard Eagles shellacked North Sevier 36-7 in 2-A South football action Friday. Brooks Myers threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to his twin brother, Kael Myers and Braxton Brewer had a 3-yard touchdown run for the Eagles. Gabe Wilcox had a 7-yard touchdown run in defeat for the Wolves.

MILFORD, Utah-Bryson Barnes tossed for 400 yards and four scoring passes as the Milford Tigers overpowered Kanab 47-21 Friday in 2-A South football action. Gage Griffiths had two touchdown runs in the win for the Tigers. Clay Shakespear caught a touchdown pass and Trey Chatterly had two scoring runs in the loss for the Cowboys.

Region 12

RICHFIELD, Utah-Brittyn Riddle had three scoring runs and returned a punt 40 yards for another score as the Richfield Wildcats gashed South Sevier 31-16 in Region 12 football action Friday. Kordell Morgan added a 21-yard field goal in the win for the Wildcats. Carter Abraham had touchdown runs of 55 and 10 yards and Spencer Garrett drilled a 33-yard field goal in the loss for the Rams.

Volleyball

Region 20

PANGUITCH, Utah-The Panguitch Bobcats downed the Valley Buffaloes 3-0 Friday in Region 20 volleyball action. The Bobcats prevailed 25-9, 25-22 and 25-10 in straight sets.

MILFORD, Utah-The Piute Thunderbirds topped Milford 3-1 Friday in Region 20 volleyball action. Piute won 25-27, 27-25, 25-23, 26-24.

Baseball

1A South Region

PANGUITCH, Utah-The Panguitch Bobcats outlasted Green River 9-4 Friday in 1A South Region baseball action.

BICKNELL, Utah-Braige Jacobson hit a home run and had 4 RBI as the Wayne Badgers held off Valley 8-6 Friday in 1A South Region baseball action. Jesse Webb earned the win on the mound for the Badgers.

PRICE, Utah-Pinnacle scored seven runs in the second inning en route to a 12-2 run-rule victory over Bryce Valley Friday in 1A South Region baseball action.

HURRICANE, Utah-The Piute Thunderbirds earned a crucial 1A South Region win over Diamond Ranch, 8-2 Friday.
