Region 14
NEPHI, Utah-Kenzie Hanson scored twice while Brinley Bender, Dani Jackson and Reggie Myers also scored as the Juab Wasps blanked Maeser Prep 5-0 Thursday in Region 14 girls soccer action. Alexa Walker, Josephine Kay and Tatum Hyatt combined on the shutout for the Wasps.
Region 15
MANTI, Utah-Ally Squire and Kassidy Alder each scored twice as the Manti Templars routed North Sanpete 5-0 in Region 15 girls soccer action Thursday. Jayci Jolley also scored for the Templars while Jentry Young posted the shutout for Manti.
Region 18
BEAVER, Utah-Julie Snnyder and Mia Van Dyke netted two goals apiece as the Gunnison Bulldogs stonewalled Beaver 5-0 Thursday in Region 18 girls soccer action. Madison Otten added another goal for Gunnison and Kayzia Caldwell earned the shutout for the Bulldogs.
Volleyball
Region 14
DELTA, Utah-The Delta Rabbits survived close calls in the second and fourth sets and prevailed 3-1 over the Juab Wasps at the Palladium Thursday in Region 14 volleyball action.
Region 18
GUNNISON, Utah-The Enterprise Wolves prevailed 25-18, 25-17 and 25-14 to rout the Gunnison Bulldogs 3-0 in Region 18 volleyball action Thursday.
PAROWAN, Utah-Kanab used 25-16, 25-8 and 25-7 set wins to decimate Parowan 3-1 Thursday in Region 18 volleyball action.
BEAVER, Utah-The Beaver Beavers survived a close 25-22 win in the first set to win the next two sets, 25-15 and 25-18 in a 3-0 rout of North Sevier in Region 18 volleyball action Thursday.
Non-Region
SALT LAKE CITY-The Manti Templars earned a 15-9 win in the fifth set to outlast Rowland Hall-St. Mark’s 3-2 Thursday in non-region volleyball action.
MILFORD, Utah-The Valley Buffaloes broke open a close match with a 25-11 win in the fourth set to wax Milford 3-1 in non-region volleyball action Thursday.
Girls Tennis
MANTI, Utah-Thursday, Manti girls’ tennis swept Millard 5-0 in non-region action. The Templars were led by #1 singles player Sadie Cox, who prevailed 6-0, 6-0. Additionally, Manti won in second singles, as JoLee Gillett won 6-0, 6-0. Naomi Boorman won at third singles, 6-0, 6-0 for Manti with Whitney Dyreng and Lexi Naylor prevailing 6-0, 6-0 in #1 doubles. The Templars completed the clean sweep in second doubles with Emma Jorgensen and Libby Simons prevailing 6-0, 6-1. The Templars are next in action September 4 against Richfield.
