MONROE, Utah-Brittyn Riddle ran for 100 yards and two scores on 21 carries as the Richfield Wildcats doubled up South Sevier 28-14 Friday in the County Clash in non-region football action. Emmitt Hafen added 15-19 for 198 yards, a touchdown and an interception as the Wildcats built a 21-7 lead at the half and played solid field position football in the second half to earn the win and improve to 2-0 on the season.
The Wildcats started the game with a 10-play 70-yard drive, capped off by a 6-yard touchdown run from Jordan Anderson. South Sevier responded with a 10-play 70-yard drive, capped off by a Tracen Winkel scoring run from 6 yards out.
After a long, sustained drive in the 2nd Quarter, Tyson Chisholm was stopped on 4th and 2 and on the subsequent possession, Hafen hit Nathan Winters on a 35-yard touchdown reception to give Richfield a 21-7 halftime lead they would not relinquish.
South Sevier was led by Chisholm (19 touches, 129 scrimmage yards) and will next travel to Gunnison Friday in non-region action. Richfield will host Kanab next Friday. This game is available on the Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network.
KANAB, Utah-Ryker Albrecht had a pair of touchdown runs and Dylan Bartlett added a 36-yard field goal as Beaver edged Kanab 15-14 Friday in non-region football action. Cameron Fryer missed a field goal as time expired as the Beavers secured the victory. Carter Jackman and Kayden McDonald hauled in touchdown passes in the loss for the Cowboys.
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Drake Fakahua had a pair of touchdown runs as the Cedar Redmen downed Juab 20-7 in non-region football action Friday.
MANTI, Utah-Kyle King tossed four touchdown passes and Jace Miller added a 2-yard touchdown run as the Manti Templars pounded Delta 33-0 Friday in non-region football action. Travis Thompson caught three of King’s scoring tosses in the rout.
ELY, Nev.-Bryson Barnes posted three touchdown passes as the Milford Tigers hammered the White Pine (Nev.) Bobcats 50-0 in non-region football action Friday. Barnes added a 15-yard touchdown run for the Tigers, while Gage Griffiths returned a fumble for a score and ran for another touchdown. Bret Beebe also had a 15-yard touchdown run for Milford.
PAROWAN, Utah-Porter Wood had two touchdown runs and passed for another score, but it wasn’t enough as the Millard Eagles stymied Parowan 34-24 Friday in non-region football action.
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Chance Clawson and Connor Jorgensen each ran for touchdowns and Devin Palmer added a 27-yard field goal as the North Sanpete Hawks waxed Union 16-3 in non-region football action Friday.
GUNNISON, Utah-Taylor Crane threw seven touchdown passes as the North Sevier Wolves decimated Gunnison 53-14 Friday in non-region football action. Crane also added a 53-yard touchdown run in the rout for the Wolves. Kolby Olsen hauled in a 31-yard touchdown pass from Avery Anderson and Creed Mogle returned an interception 37 yards for another score in the loss for the Bulldogs.
