OGDEN, Utah-Jovanni Cervantes scored twice and the No. 5 Ben Lomond Scots dismantled No. 12 Juan Diego 4-1 Wednesday in the 2nd round of the 3A state boys soccer playoffs.

PRICE, Utah-Parks Cowdell scored the sole goal of the match and the No. 3 Carbon Dinos blanked No. 14 North Sanpete Wednesday in the 2nd round of the 3A state boys soccer playoffs. The Dinos next host No. 6 Morgan Saturday at 1:00 pm in the state quarterfinals.

MORGAN, Utah-Connor White amassed a hat trick and the No. 6 Morgan Trojans clobbered No. 11 South Summit 8-0 in the 2nd round of the 3A state boys soccer playoffs Wednesday. Grayson Wallace and Roman Ratchford combined on the shutout in the net for the Trojans.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Theodore O’Brien and Tahj Cole scored two goals apiece and the No. 9 Judge Bulldogs blanked No. 8 Richfield 4-0 in the 2nd round of the 3A state boys soccer playoffs Wednesday. Porter Smith earned six saves in the net to record the win for the Bulldogs. Judge next visits No. 1 Ogden Saturday at 1:00 pm in the state quarterfinals.

OGDEN, Utah-Jace Rodriguez amassed a hat trick and the No. 1 Ogden Wildcats blanked No. 17 Emery 8-0 Wednesday in the 2nd round of the 3A state boys soccer playoffs. Xavier Peregrina recorded seven saves to earn the shutout in the net for the Tigers.

MANTI, Utah-Tommy Bridges scored twice and the No. 2 Manti Templars downed No. 15 Grantsville 3-1 Wednesday in the 2nd round of the 3A state boys soccer playoffs. Manti next hosts No. 7 Juab Saturday at 1:00 pm in the state quarterfinals.

NEPHI, Utah-Kaele Christensen recorded a shutout and the No. 7 Juab Wasps stonewalled No. 10 Union 6-2 in the 2nd round of the 3A state boys soccer playoffs Wednesday. Andrus Jensen and Cohen McGee each scored in defeat for the Cougars.

2A State Playoffs 2nd Round

LINDON, Utah-Gavin Dayton and Jack Stevenson each scored twice and the No. 1 Maeser Lions pounded No. 17 Wasatch Academy 8-0 Wednesday in the 2nd round of the 2A state boys soccer playoffs. Max Fairbanks earned the shutout in the net in victory for the Lions. The Lions next host No. 8 Waterford Saturday at 1:00 pm in the 2A state quarterfinals.

SANDY, Utah-Hunter Marshall scored twice and the No. 8 Waterford Ravens blanked No. 9 Intermountain Christian 4-0 in the 2nd round of the 2A state boys soccer playoffs Wednesday. Declan DuBois and Joaquin Point combined on the shutout in the net for the Ravens.

GUNNISON, Utah-Miles Li scored twice and the No. 10 Rowland Hall Winged Lions upset No. 7 Gunnison Valley 2-1 in the 2nd round of the 2A state boys soccer playoffs Wednesday. Chase Maple scored in the loss for the Bulldogs. The Winged Lions next visit No. 2 American Heritage in the 2A state quarterfinals Saturday at 1:00 pm.

AMERICAN FORK, Utah-Alex Bay, Joseph Holmes and Cael Tillman scored two goals apiece and the No. 2 American Heritage Patriots routed No. 17 Parowan 7-0 Wednesday in the 2nd round of the 2A state boys soccer playoffs. Weston Larson earned the shutout in the net for the Patriots.

MONROE, Utah-The No. 6 South Sevier Rams outlasted No. 11 American Leadership 4-1 on penalty kicks in extra time Wednesday in the 2nd round of the 2A state boys soccer playoffs. The Rams next visit No. 3 Grand Saturday at 1:00 pm in the 2A state quarterfinals.

MOAB, Utah-Cristian Valencia, Jake Mason and Noah Laprade each scored and the No. 3 Grand Red Devils gashed No. 14 Beaver 3-1 Wednesday in the 2nd round of the 2A state boys soccer playoffs. Reagan Bradshaw scored in defeat for the Beavers.

OGDEN, Utah-Alex Hernandez posted four goals and the No. 4 St. Joseph Jayhawks doubled up No. 6 Draper APA 6-3 in the 2nd round of the 2A state boys soccer playoffs Wednesday. Spencer Headlee’s hat trick led the Eagles in the loss. St. Joseph next hosts No. 5 Merit in the 2A state quarterfinals Saturday at 1:00 pm.

SPRINGVILLE, Utah-The No. 5 Merit Knights bested No. 12 APA West Valley 3-1 in the 2nd round of the 2A state boys soccer playoffs Wednesday.
