Region 12
BLANDING, Utah-Ridge Tebbs, Karson Hunt and Riley Barney drove in three runs apiece and the South Sevier Rams routed San Juan 14-3 in the first game of a Region 12 doubleheader Friday. Hunt also earned the win on the mound for the Rams.
BLANDING, Utah-Hagun Morrell and Karson Hunt each went yard and the South Sevier Rams outlasted San Juan 11-10 Friday, completing a Region 12 doubleheader sweep. Landon Payne earned the win on the mound for South Sevier. Garrett Young’s 3 RBI led the Broncos in the loss.
CASTLE DALE, Utah-Gavin Brown homered and Jaron Ross drove in three more runs as the Richfield Wildcats outgunned Emery 12-10 Friday in Region 12 baseball play. Connor Anderson drove in two more runs for the Wildcats and Heston Jenson earned the win on the mound for Richfield. Jace Mangum had three RBI in defeat for the Spartans.
Region 14
NEPHI, Utah-Wyatt Payton netted three RBI and the Juab Wasps bested Union 9-3 Friday in Region 14 baseball play. Brayden Lawton drove in two more runs for the Wasps and Dallin Ludlow earned the win on the mound for the Wasps. Kason Maycock and Zach Foote drove in runs for the Cougars in defeat.
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Ethan Ward and Morgan Fleenor drove in three runs apiece and the American Leadership Eagles smacked Manti 16-9 in Region 14 baseball action Friday. Dillon Holt earned the win on the mound for the Eagles. Bryce Boehrer drove in two runs for the Templars in the loss.
DELTA, Utah-Wayland Crane posted three RBI and the Delta Rabbits edged North Sanpete 4-3 Friday in Region 14 baseball play. Crane also earned the win on the mound for the Rabbits while Will Finlinson added another RBI in victory for Delta.
2-A South
PAROWAN, Utah-Blake Barnes homered and Corbyn Dalton drove in two runs as the Milford Tigers got past Parowan 7-6 in 2-A South baseball action Friday. Dalton also took the win on the mound for the Tigers.
ENTERPRISE, Utah-Bradley Haycock drove in three runs and CJ Maddux added another RBI while taking the win on the mound as the Kanab Cowboys blanked Enterprise 9-0 Friday in 2-A South baseball play.
Softball
Region 14
MANTI, Utah-Katie Larsen and Haylee Daniels each drove in three runs apiece as the Manti Templars bludgeoned American Leadership 17-0 in Region 14 softball action Friday. Ashley Rasmussen drove in another run and took the win in the circle for the Templars.
NEPHI, Utah-Hailey Poulsen, Macee Blackham and Saydi Anderson posted 3 RBI apiece and the Juab Wasps pounded Delta 14-2 Friday in Region 14 softball play. Poulsen also earned the win in the circle for the Wasps. Kaily Stanworth and Taytem Ekins drove in runs for the Rabbits in the loss.
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Heather Howarth netted two RBI and the North Sanpete Hawks got past Union 5-4 in Region 14 softball action Friday. Howarth added the win in the circle for the Hawks. London Lamb homered in defeat for the Cougars.
Boys Soccer Playoffs First Round
3-A
HERRIMAN, Utah-Maverick Smith scored in the loss as the Providence Hall Patriots waxed South Sevier 5-1 Friday in the first round of the 3-A boys soccer playoffs. Providence Hall visits Delta in the second round of the 3-A state playoffs Wednesday at 4:00 pm.
2-A
SPRINGVILLE, Utah-Leo Monje and Sandro Diaz had two goals apiece and the Merit Knights waxed North Sevier 5-2 in the first round of the 2-A boys soccer playoffs Friday. Merit next visits Real Salt Lake Academy Wednesday at 4:00 pm in the second round of the 2-A state playoffs.
