FILLMORE, Utah-Jadden Cranney went the distance on the mound, posting eight strikeouts, as the Millard Eagles bested Delta 7-2 Monday in non-region baseball action. Hayes Monroe went 2 for 2 at the plate and Shade Woodard had a pair of RBI in the win for the Eagles.

Boys Soccer

Region 17

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Luis Mendoza and Nathan Banza each scored twice and the APA West Valley Eagles smacked Wasatch Academy 5-2 in Region 17 boys soccer action Monday. Avery Wade and Diego Guerrero each scored in the loss for the Tigers.

Non-Region

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Luis Alderate amassed a hat trick as the North Sanpete Hawks outlasted Class 6-A American Heritage 5-4 in non-region boys soccer action Monday. Brady Jacobson and Kyle Thornberry also found the net in the win for the Hawks. Steven Sessions’ hat trick led the Patriots in defeat.

Girls Golf

Region 15

PRICE, Utah-Richfield continued their dominance at the Region 15 championship Monday. The Wildcats shot a 319 to win the region title by 64 strokes over second place Grand, which shot a 383 as a team. Manti finished third with a 408, Emery came in fourth with a 439 and South Sevier finished fifth with a 461. The top five teams qualify for the state tournament next week in Morgan. San Juan shot a 523 and North Sanpete shot a 527 and didn’t qualify for state.

Individually Hayden Harris of Richfield won the Region medalist honors with a 75. The Wildcats had the top four placers with Ellie Hair in second after shooting an 80, Natasha Oldroyd placed third with an 81, and Piper Harris shot an 83 to place fourth. Joopy Bamrungmuang from Grand shot an 87 to place fifth.
