1A State Championship @ SVC
RICHFIELD, Utah-Daxton Miller recorded 15 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists and the No. 2 Panguitch Bobcats overpowered No. 1 Rich 50-40 Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center to win the 1A state championship. The Bobcats have won 11 state championships in boys basketball including four of the last five. The Bobcats have state championships in 1924, 1957, 1990, 1998, 2001, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2023, 2024 and 2025.
1A 3rd-4th Place Game @ SVC
RICHFIELD, Utah-Bryson Fabrizio posed 14 points and the No. 5 Tabiona Tigers got past No. 11 Bryce Valley 49-42 to take third at the 1A state tournament at the Sevier Valley Center Saturday. Rustyn Chynoweth’s game-high 15 points led the Mustangs in the loss.
1A 5th-6th Place Game @ SVC
RICHFIELD, Utah-Jace Cox netted 16 points and the No. 4 Valley Buffalos overpowered No. 7 Tintic 62-55 to earn 5th place at the 1A state tournament Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center. Luke Larsen’s 18 points on 6-11 from behind the arc led the Miners in the loss.
1A 6th-8th Place Game @ SVC
RICHFIELD, Utah-The No. 13 Manila Mustangs humbled No. 15 Wendover 67-63 to place sixth at the 1A state tournament at the Sevier Valley Center Saturday.
Girls Basketball
1A State Championship @ SVC
RICHFIELD, Utah-Braylyn Pugmire recorded 23 points and 10 rebounds on 10-18 from the field and the No. 1 Rich Rebels bested No. 3 Tabiona 40-38 to win the 1A state championship Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center. Maycee Rhoades netted 15 points and 7 rebounds in the loss for the Tigers. Rich has now achieved four state championships in girls basketball. The Rebels have state championships in 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2025.
1A 3rd-4th Place Game @ SVC
RICHFIELD, Utah-AJ VanDyke posted 23 points and 6 rebounds on 9-16 from the field and 3-4 from range and the No. 4 Wayne Badgers downed No. 2 Panguitch 56-50 to achieve 3rd place in the 1A state tournament at the Sevier Valley Center Saturday. Mallory Henrie’s 16 points and 13 rebounds led the Bobcats in the loss.
1A 5th-6th Place Game @ SVC
RICHFIELD, Utah-Heidi Clark posted 11 points and 6 rebounds and the No. 5 Whitehorse Raiders achieved 5th place at the 1A state tournament with a 39-29 win over No. 6 Valley Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center. Emma Cox netted 10 points and 5 rebounds on 4-6 from the field in the loss for the Buffalos.
6th-8th Place Game @ Richfield High School
RICHFIELD, Utah-The No. 11 Milford Tigers crushed No. 9 Piute 58-31 Saturday to achieve 6th place at the 1A state tournament Saturday at Richfield High School.
