3-A State Tournament
State Championship Game
RICHFIELD, Utah-Brendan Allred posted 23 points on 7-7 from the field as the Juab Wasps won their first boys basketball state championship since 1960 with a 54-50 win over San Juan Saturday in the 3-A state championship game at the Sevier Valley Center. Ty Allred added 16 points and 6 rebounds on 6-9 from the field for the Wasps in the victory. Nathan Grover led the Broncos in defeat with 12 points and 7 rebounds. The Wasps have achieved state titles this athletic season in football, wrestling and boys basketball.
3rd-4th Place Game @ SVC
RICHFIELD, Utah-Davin Eakins had 20 points and 10 rebounds on 8-13 shooting as the Grantsville Cowboys downed Judge 62-59 Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center, earning third place. Dom Burns had 26 points and 6 rebounds while shooting 10-10 at the foul line for the Bulldogs in defeat.
5th-6th Place Game @ SVC
RICHFIELD, Utah-Moroni Seely Roberts posted 33 points and 14 rebounds on 11-17 from the field and 10-10 at the foul line as the Grand Red Devils earned 5th place at the 3-A state tournament by besting Manti 72-63 Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center. Tate Quarnberg had 16 points and 6 rebounds in the loss for the Templars.
1-A Second Round
PANGUITCH, Utah-Kyler Bennett posted 18 points and the Panguitch Bobcats walloped Water Canyon 64-47 Saturday in the second round of the 1-A state playoffs. Devin Barlow had 12 points in the loss for the Wildcats. Panguitch next faces Piute Thursday at 9:30 am in the state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
JUNCTION, Utah-Kyle Morgan and Kelby Jessen had 18 points apiece as the Piute Thunderbirds decimated Pinnacle 88-46 in the second roud of the 1-A state playoffs Saturday. Nathan Grover had 12 points and 7 rebounds in defeat for the Broncos.
TROPIC, Utah-Treyson Roberts led the way with 18 points and the Bryce Valley Mustangs waxed Milford 51-42 Saturday in the second round of the 1-A state playoffs. Treyton Rose led the Tigers with 10 points in defeat. Bryce Valley faces Valley Thursday at 11:10 am in the 1-A state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
MURRAY, Utah-Gavin Hoyt stepped up with 13 points and the Valley Buffaloes humbled Mount Vernon 52-35 in the second round of the 1-A state playoffs Saturday. Matt Lambson had 11 points in the loss for the Patriots.
WENDOVER, Utah-Keyshawn Rodriguez posted 23 points and the Wendover Wildcats smacked Wayne 74-43 Saturday in the second round of the 1-A state playoffs. Ethan Morrill led the Badgers in defeat with 15 points.
MANILA, Utah-Tuck Davis posted 25 points and the Manila Mustangs downed Diamond Rach 60-50 in the second round of the 1-A state playoffs Saturday. Manila faces Rich Thursday at 2:30 pm in the state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
RANDOLPH, Utah-John Scott and Logan Muirbrook had 21 points apiece and the Rich Rebels stymied Tintic 66-50 Saturday in the second round of the 1-A state playoffs Saturday. Cooper Snell had 18 points in the loss for the Miners.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Alexandria Trussell netted 15 points and 13 rebounds as the Morgan Trojans bested the Emery Spartans 51-47 Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center, earning their fourth state title in school history. Morgan was +13 (31-18) in the second half to resiliently vanquish the favored Spartans. Morgan has won state titles in 1990, 2003, 2004 and 2021. Baylee Jacobson had 20 points and 6 rebounds in defeat for Emery.
3rd-4th Place Game @ SVC
RICHFIELD, Utah-Maison White led the way with 18 points and 6 rebounds as Grantsville hammered Carbon 53-38 to earn third place in the 3-A state tournament at the Sevier Valley Center Saturday. Sydney Orth had 17 points and 5 rebounds for the Dinos in the loss.
5th-6th Place Game @ SVC
RICHFIELD, Utah-Teya Sidberry netted 21 points and 10 rebounds as the Judge Memorial Bulldogs outlasted Richfield 41-38, earning fifth place at the 3-A state tournament Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center. Nicole Willardson netted 13 points and 8 rebounds for the Wildcats in defeat.
1-A Second Round
ORDERVILLE, Utah-Paige Harris led the way with 12 points and the Valley Buffaloes bested Tintic 71-20 Saturday in the second round of the 1-A state tournament. Valley next faces Bryce Valley Thursday at 5:50 pm in the state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
TROPIC, Utah-Brooklyn Syrett and Kezli Floyd had 7 points apiece and the Bryce Valley Mustangs humbled Wendover 41-32 in the second round of the 1-A state tournament Saturday. Leslie Luna’s 10 points led the Wildcats in defeat.
RANDOLPH, Utah-Jaycee Cornia posted 14 points and the Rich Rebels routed Intermountain Christian 63-19 Saturday in the second round of the 1-A state tournament. Makenna Stoddard had 11 points in the loss for the Lions. Rich next faces Milford Thursday at 4:10 pm in the state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
MILFORD, Utah-JaLeana Tsosie netted 18 points and the Milford Tigers gashed Water Canyon 47-38 in the second round of the 1-A state tournament Saturday. Jasmine LaCorti and Melissa Jessop had 11 points apiece in the loss for the Wildcats.
JUNCTION, Utah-Ashley Talbot amassed 17 points and the Piute Thunderbirds clobbered Manila 72-16 Saturday in the second round of the 1-A state tournament. Cora Guymon had 7 points in defeat for the Mustangs. Piute next plays Tabiona Thursday at 7:30 pm in the state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
TABIONA, Utah-Abbie Rhoades led the way with 14 points and the Tabiona Tigers waxed Panguitch 33-21 in the second round of the 1-A state tournament Saturday. Kyan Orton and Abbee Holman had 7 points apiece in defeat for the Bobcats.
BICKNELL, Utah-Aspen News led the way with 16 points and the Wayne Badgers decimated Pinnacle 75-10 Saturday in the second round of the 1-A state tournament. Lizvet Pinal had 4 points in defeat for the Panthers. Wayne next draws Green River Thursday at 9:10 pm in the state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
GREEN RIVER, Utah-Talynn Lovato had 17 points and the Green River Pirates bested Escalante 46-33 in the second round of the 1-A state tournament Saturday. Mackenzie Lyman had 16 points in defeat for the Moquis.
