Region 20 Tournament

ORDERVILLE, Utah-Orrin Wood’s 15 points led the way as the Valley Buffaloes downed Diamond Ranch 60-48 Thursday in the first round of the Region 20 tournament. Tyler Nash had 16 points in defeat for the Diamondbacks. Valley is next in action against Bryce Valley Friday at 6:00 pm at Canyon View High School in Cedar City.

HILDALE, Utah-Tanner Dalton led the way with 17 points as the Piute Thunderbirds bested Water Canyon 59-49 in the first round of the Region 20 tournament Thursday. Guy Musser had 15 points in defeat for the Wildcats. Piute next draws Panguitch Friday at 9:00 pm at Canyon View High School in Cedar City.

BICKNELL, Utah-Brynnli Nelson led the way with 14 points and the Wayne Badgers downed Monticello 54-49 Thursday in Region 19 girls basketball action. Tristen Esplin had 25 points for the Buckaroos in defeat.
