Central Utah Preview @ SVC

RICHFIELD, Utah-Krue Stubbs posted 19 points and 6 rebounds on 5-8 from the field and 5-5 at the foul line as the Parowan Rams clobbered Delta 65-34 at the Sevier Valley Center Friday as part of the Central Utah preview. Shayden Benson added 13 points and 9 rebounds on 6-9 shooting for the Rams and Easton Jense had 12 points on 4-7 for Parowan in the victory. The Rabbits were led by Britton Smith’s 8 points and 4 rebounds. Jake Henrie also had 8 points on 2-4 from the field for Delta.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Ty Allred posted 23 points and 13 rebounds and made all 11 of his free throw attempts as the Juab Wasps downed Duchesne 56-40 as part of the Central Utah preview at the Sevier Valley Center Friday. Juab improved to 1-1 on the season with the win. Tate Gatherum netted 15 points on 5-10 shooting for the Eagles in the loss.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Kason Janes had 14 points and 8 rebounds on 5-9 shooting as the Kanab Cowboys bested Monticello 41-31 Friday as part of the Central Utah preview at the Sevier Valley Center. Bradley Haycock had 12 points and 4 rebounds on 5-6 from the field for the Cowboys. Cedar English had 19 points for the Buckaroos in defeat.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Tuhker Mulford and Brigham Mulford had 17 points apiece as the Grantsville Cowboys surged past Manti 65-61 at the Sevier Valley Center Friday during the Central Utah preview. Grady Thompson had 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the loss for the Templars.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Tyler Hiatt netted 19 points and 5 rebounds on 7-9 shooting as the Enterprise Wolves  gashed North Sevier 58-39 in the battle of the Wolves during the Central Utah preview Friday at the Sevier Valley Center. Marshall Okerlund and Ethan Fielding had 13 points apiece for North Sevier and Brody Butler added 11 points and 5 rebounds in defeat for North Sevier.

RICHFIELD, Utah-South Sevier went on a 27-2 run in the 3rd Quarter to take control of the game, routing Mount Vernon 74-45 Friday at the Sevier Valley Center during the Central Utah preview. Landen Payne posted 21 points and 12 rebounds on 9-11 from the field and Emilio Miramontes added 18 points and 5 rebounds on 6-8 from the field for South Sevier. South Sevier shot 54.7 percent (29-53) from the field for the game. Matt Lambson had 18 points on 6-11 from the field for the Patriots in defeat.  This included a 6-9 performance behind the arc.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Isaac Finlinson posted 20 points and 12 rebounds on 8-12 shooting as the Dixie Flyers pounded Richfield 72-38 in the nightcap at the Central Utah Preview Friday at the Sevier Valley Center. Ethan Bennett added 18 points on 8-8 from the field for Dixie, who shot 65.9 percent (29-44) from the field for the game in their first contest as defending 4-A state champions in the new campaign. Max Robinson had 18 points and 4 rebounds in the loss for the Wildcats.

Bear River Winter Classic

GARLAND, Utah-Jace Jacobson netted 19 points and the Bear River Bears downed Gunnison Valley 65-50 Friday at the Bear River Winter Classic. Harley Hill’s 18 points led the Bulldogs in defeat.

Non-Region

HIGHLAND, Utah-Richard Isaacs led the way with 28 points and the Wasatch Academy Tigers pounded Lone Peak 83-64 Friday in non-region boys basketball action. Fousseyni Traore added 19 points in the win for the Tigers.

MILFORD, Utah-Hunter Rhodes stepped up with 19 points and the Millard Eagles got past Milford 56-43 in non-region boys basketball action Friday. Kyden Peters had 15 points for the Tigers in the loss.

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Brady Jacobson’s 19 points and 5 rebounds led North Sanpete to a 60-35 rout of Providence Hall Friday in non-region boys basketball action. Griffin Henrie had 11 points in the loss for the Patriots.

Girls Basketball

1-A Preview

RICHFIELD, Utah-Kinley Spaulding posted 14 points and the Milford Tigers gashed Tabiona 41-18 Friday at the 1-A girls preview at Richfield High School. Lily Lazenby had 5 points in defeat for the Tabiona Tigers.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Kassidy Westwood led the way with 23 points and the Piute Thunderbirds clipped Tabiona 43-38 at Richfield High School during the 1-A girls preview. Abbie Rhoades led the Tigers in defeat with 23 points.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Caitlynn Lyman stepped up with 16 points and the Escalante Moquis pounded Pinnacle 49-16 during the 1-A girls preview at Richfield High School. Samantha Kessler had 6 points in the loss for the Panthers.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Abbee Holman netted 19 points and the Panguitch Bobcats routed Intermoutain Christian 48-22 at Richfield High School Friday during the 1-A girls preview. Morgan Zandberg had 13 points for the Lions in defeat.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Paige Harris amassed 16 points and the Valley Buffaloes sank Green River 47-25 Friday during the 1-A girls preview at Richfield High School. Abigail Erwin had 12 points in the loss for the Pirates.

RICHFIELD, Utah-The Wayne Badgers pounded Tintic 46-8 during the 1-A girls preview at Richfield HIgh School Friday.

Delta Tournament

DELTA, Utah-Paige Cummings led the way with 12 points as the Millard Eagles downed Canyon View 38-30 Friday at the Delta Tournament. Addison Newman had 13 points and 12 rebounds in the loss for the Falcons.

DELTA, Utah-Jadee Dutson netted 17 points and the Delta Rabbits humbled Draper APA 47-25 at the Delta Tournament Friday at the Palladium.

DELTA, Utah-Jadee Dutson stepped up with 23 points as the Delta Rabbits got past Duchesne 35-34 Friday at the Delta Tournament at the Palladium. Kelsey Grant had 13 points in defeat for the Eagles.

DELTA, Utah-Kelsey Grant’s 10 points led the way as the Duchesne Eagles downed Kanab 30-27 at the Palladium Friday at the Delta Tournament. Grayce Glover had 8 points in the loss for Kanab.

DELTA, Utah-Grayce Glover led the way with 17 points and Kanab drilled Draper APA 55-28 at the Delta Tournament Friday at the Palladium. Riley Bluth had 16 points in defeat for Draper APA.

DELTA, Utah-Eliza Swallow amassed 22 points and the Millard Eagles bested Class 4-A Tooele 38-34 in overtime at the Palladium Friday during the Delta Tournament. Aysha Lewis had 19 points in the loss for the Buffaloes.

Desert Hills Tournament

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Rebecca Poulsen stepped up with 13 points and the Richfield Wildcats routed Snow Canyon 61-36 Friday at the Desert Hills Tournament at Desert Hills High School. Tyler Mooring had 9 points in defeat for the Warriors.

Shannon Johnson Tournament

VERNAL, Utah-Emilie Palmer had 11 points and the San Juan Broncos humbled Wasatch Academy 51-42 Friday at the Shannon Johnson Tournament. Nataly Dunka had 27 points for the Tigers in defeat.
