GUNNISON, Utah-Mason Thompson’s 16 points on 6 of 9 shooting from the field led the Manti Templars to a 70-39 rout of Gunnison in non-region boys basketball action Tuesday. Travis Thomson added 13 points on 5 of 8 shooting for the Templars in the win as they improved to 5-1. The Bulldogs were led by Parx Bartholomew’s 16 points in the loss, their first of the season, as they fell to 4-1.
The Templars built a 40-12 lead at the half and never looked back, en route to the victory.

Region 14
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Shaylee Fowles and Logan Springer had 13 points apiece as the Delta Rabbits routed American Leadership 57-19 Tuesday in Region 14 girls basketball action.
PRICE, Utah-Jodi Noyes netted 13 points and the Carbon Dinos pounded Juab 42-24 in Region 14 girls basketball action Tuesday. Bayli Heap had 8 points in the loss for the Wasps.
Non-Region
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Jordan Nielson’s 15 points and 7 rebounds led the way as the Canyon View Falcons downed Milford 55-44 in non-region girls basketball action Tuesday.
CASTLE DALE, Utah-Megan Jensen posted 11 points and the Emery Spartans waxed Beaver 35-31 Tuesday in non-region girls basketball action. Sydnee Gillins had 11 points and 4 rebounds in the loss for the Beavers.
ENTERPRISE, Utah-Ronnie Robinson stepped up with 12 points and the Enterprise Wolves stonewalled Bryce Valley 46-30 in non-region girls basketball action Tuesday. Makenna Syrett had 10 points in the loss for the Mustangs.
MONROE, Utah-Kenzie Jones amassed 26 points and the South Sevier Rams blasted Gunnison 76-38 Tuesday in non-region girls basketball action. Jaida King and Paige King had 9 points apiece to pace the Bulldogs in defeat.
OREM, Utah-Tori Hollingshead netted 23 points and the Orem Tigers edged Manti 30-28 in non-region girls basketball action Tuesday. Allie Bridges led the Templars in the loss with 7 points.
