3A Quarterfinals

NEPHI, Utah-Quentin Robinson intercepted Dallin Van Vliet in the closing moments and No. 4 Juab escaped with a 26-20 win over No. 5 Grantsville Friday in the 3A state quarterfinals.

Jaden Heap (8 rec, 146 yards, 3 TD’s) hauled in a 61-yard scoring pass from Price Armstrong (17/30, 235 yards, 3 TD’s/3 INT’s) which proved to be the game-winning score for Juab following Robinson’s heroics.

Van Vliet (26/45, 311 yards, 2 TD’s/2 INT’s) and Jordan Fawson (6 rec, 117 yards, TD) led the Cowboys in the loss.

Following Friday’s results, the Wasps advanced to the 3A state semifinals Friday at 10:00 am at Eccles Coliseum on the campus of Southern Utah University against No. 1 Cedar.

CEDAR CITY, Utah-Colt Kelling threw a pair of touchdown passes and the No. 1 Cedar Reds pounded No. 9 Ogden 49-14 Friday in the 3A state quarterfinals. Blake Weston threw two touchdown passes in defeat for the Tigers.

MANTI, Utah-Carter Mason threw three touchdown passes and ran for another score as the No. 3 Manti Templars decimated No. 6 North Sanpete 55-17 in the 3A state quarterfinals Friday. Ayden Akee ran for a score and Dakota Draper returned an interception 66 yards for another touchdown in the loss for the Hawks. Manti next faces No. 2 Morgan Friday at 4:00 pm in the state semifinals at Southern Utah University.

MORGAN, Utah-Cade Randall threw five touchdown passes and the No. 2 Morgan Trojans clobbered No. 7 Richfield 49-14 Friday in the 3A state quarterfinals. Colton White threw a 58-yard touchdown pass to Trae Yardley and Ngalu Taufatofua ran for another score in the loss for the Wildcats.

2A Quarterfinals

KAMAS, Utah-Ian Mair threw three touchdown passes and the No. 3 South Summit Wildcats hammered No. 6 ALA 55-20 Friday in the 2A state quarterfinals. Mason Osber threw a 50-yard touchdown pass to Andrew Marble and Jalen Brewer added a 15-yard scoring grab in the loss for the Eagles. South Summit next faces No. 2 South Sevier November 8 at 4:00 pm in the state semifinals at Southern Utah University.

MONROE, Utah-Hudson Flinders ran for a pair of scores and the No. 2 South Sevier Rams outlasted No. 7 Delta 43-42 in the 2A state quarterfinals Friday. Jett Rawlinson ran for two scores in defeat for the Rabbits.

BLANDING, Utah-Jagger Nieves ran for three scores and caught a pair of scoring passes as the No. 1 San Juan Broncos decimated No. 9 Judge 77-2 in the 2A state quarterfinals Friday. San Juan next faces No. 4 Summit Academy November 8 at 10:00 am in the state semifinals at Southern Utah University.

BLUFFDALE, Utah-Liam Larson ran for three scores and the No. 4 Summit Academy Bears hammered No. 5 Emery 48-14 Friday in the 2A state quarterfinals. Beau Stilson tossed a pair of touchdown passes in the loss for the Spartans.

1A Quarterfinals

KANAB, Utah-Brogun Virostko threw two touchdown passes and the No. 1 Kanab Cowboys lassoed No. 8 Gunnison Valley 49-0 Friday at Arlyn Hafen Stadium in the 1A state quarterfinals. Hayden Gubler added two scoring runs and returned a fumble 46 yards for another touchdown in the win for Kanab. Grady Anderson also scored on a 61-yard punt return in victory for the Cowboys. Kanab next faces No. 4 North Summit November 8 at 1:00 pm in the state semifinals at Southern Utah University.

COALVILLE, Utah-Cru Richins threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score as the No. 4 North Summit Braves got past No. 5 Millard 18-14 in the 1A state quarterfinals Friday. Connor Stevens and Kaydon Fowkes ran for scores in the loss for the Eagles.

BEAVER, Utah-Davin Orton ran for three scores and threw a 56-yard touchdown pass to Emmet Lurth as the No. 2 Beaver Beavers clobbered No. 7 Parowan 49-0 Friday in the 1A state quarterfinals. Caleb Carter, Jex Bradshaw and Trey Bradshaw also ran for scores in victory for the Beavers. Beaver next faces No. 3 Duchesne November 8 at 7:00 pm at Southern Utah University in the state semifinals.

DUCHESNE, Utah-Kasen Crum ran for four scores and the No. 3 Duchesne Eagles routed No. 6 Enterprise 42-6 in the 1A state quarterfinals Friday. Nashden Goodliffe tossed a scoring pass and recorded a touchdown reception as well in victory for Duchesne.

Eight-Player Quarterfinals

MILFORD, Utah-Boston Sullivan ran for a score, caught a touchdown pass and recorded a pick six as the No. 2 Milford Tigers pounded No. 7 Utah Military Camp Williams 57-0 Friday in the Eight-Player quarterfinals. Kyzler Merryweather, Tayon Blackburn and Griffin Walker also ran for a score apiece in victory for Milford. Milford next faces No. 6 Monticello Friday at 7:00 pm in the state semifinals at Southern Utah University.

RANDOLPH, Utah-Jett Holmes tossed six touchdown passes and the No. 1 Rich Rebels routed No. 9 Water Canyon 55-14 in the Eight-Player quarterfinals Friday. The Rebels next face No. 4 Whitehorse Friday at 1:00 pm in the state semifinals at Southern Utah University.
