3A State Playoffs First Round
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Bubba Ludlow returned a punt 57 yards for a score and a free kick 98 yards for another score and the Canyon View Falcons clobbered North Sanpete 33-14 Friday in the first round of the 3A state playoffs at Falcons Stadium. Ludlow also recorded an interception for the Falcons while Deegan Davies ran for a score and caught another touchdown pass in the win. Wyatt Williams returned an interception 43 yards for a score and caught a 21-yard touchdown pass in defeat for the Hawks. Canyon View next visits No. 1 Morgan November 1 at 6:00 pm in the 3A state quarterfinals.
DRAPER, Utah-Roman Rosano, Corbin Buckley and Adam Whittaker each ran for scores and the No. 7 Juan Diego Soaring Eagle blasted No. 10 Carbon 31-0 in the first round of the 3A state playoffs Friday. Juan Diego next visits No. 2 Richfield Friday at 6:00 pm in the quarterfinals of the 3A state playoffs.
OGDEN, Utah-Vinnie Apadaca threw two touchdown passes and the No. 6 Ogden Tigers pounded No. 11 Union 42-6 Friday in the first round of the 3A state playoffs. Dylan Murphy-Watahomigie threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to JD Mojado in the loss for the Cougars. Ogden next visits No. 3 Grantsville Friday at 6:00 pm in the state quarterfinals.
2A State Playoffs First Round
SALT LAKE CITY-Adrian Palmer threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for another score and the No. 8 Judge Bulldogs pounded No. 9 Grand 41-0 Friday in the first round of the 2A state playoffs. Judge next visits No. 1 San Juan Friday in the quarterfinals of the state playoffs at 6:00 pm.
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Nico Marble threw four touchdown passes and No. 7 ALA pounded No. 10 Providence Hall 63-21 in the first round of the 2A state playoffs Friday. Lucas Thompson threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score in defeat for the Patriots. ALA next visits No. 2 Emery in the quarterfinals of the state playoffs Friday at 6:00 pm.
1A State Playoffs First Round
ENTERPRISE, Utah-Cody Bowler ran for a pair of scores and the No. 8 Enterprise Wolves pounded No. 9 Parowan 34-6 Friday in the first round of the 1A state playoffs. Hunter Bettridge ran five yards for a score in the loss for the Rams. Enterprise next visits No. 1 Beaver Friday in the state quarterfinals at 6:00 pm.
SALINA, Utah-Brody Bulloch caught a touchdown pass and ran for another score and the No. 7 North Sevier Wolves clobbered No. 10 Gunnison Valley 36-13 in the first round of the 1A state playoffs Friday. Koy Wasden, Ayden Bosshardt and Zander Christiansen also ran for scores in the win for the Wolves. Talan Dyreng threw a touchdown pass and Daxton Knudsen ran four yards for another score in the loss for the Bulldogs. The Wolves next visit No. 2 North Summit in the state quarterfinals Friday at 6:00 pm.
