2-A Playoffs
FILLMORE, Utah-Jed DeGraffenried amassed 249 scrimmage yards, a rushing touchdown and a receiving score on 27 touches as the Millard Eagles blew past North Sevier 20-0 Friday in the first roud of the 2-A playoffs Friday evening.
DeGraffenried also amassed a sack and two tackles for a loss for Millard as the Eagles’ best player showed up in the biggest game of the season in various ways.
The Eagles also had some good fortune amid their dominance.

The Eagles also neturalized 2-A’s top tailback in North Sevier’s Landan Gale, limiting him to 55 scrimmage yards on 16 touches for the evening.
Millard outgained North Sevier 284-93 as the Wolves amassed only 93 yards on 47 plays or 2 yards per snap.
The Eagles improved to 6-5 and 2-5 in 2-A South play on the season. The Eagles next face Beaver in the state quarterfinals, presumably October 30 at 5:00 pm. This game will be at Beaver High School and will be broadcast on the Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network.
North Sevier’s season ends with the Wolves posting a record of 3-8 and 1-6 in 2-A South play.
MILFORD, Utah-Bret Beebe posted a 20-yard touchdown run and returned a fumble 50 yards for another score as the Milford Tigers clobbered Monticello 59-6 in the first round of the 2-A playoffs Friday. Bo Hardy also threw three touchdown passes for the Tigers in the rout. These were to Heston Sullivan (47 yards), Blake Barnes (22 yards) and Treyton Rose (17 yards). Traie Buhler threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Quaid Thompson for Milford and Casek Hardy had a 1-yard touchdown run for the Tigers. Additionally, Dylan Ferguson nailed a 32-yard field goal in victory for the Tigers.
Milford next visits Kanab October 3o at 6:00 pm in the 2-A state quarterfinals as far as we know.
PAROWAN, Utah-Hutch Miller threw a 46-yard touchdown pass to Nicholas Goodman as the Parowan Rams gashed Gunnison Valley 24-7 Friday in the first round of the 2-A playoffs. Connor Robison and Braden Bettridge each had 5-yard touchdown runs for the Rams and Goodman added a 20-yard field goal in victory for Parowan. Parowan next faces Duchesne October 30 at 6:00 pm in the 2-A state quarterfinals. Pearson Judy hauled in a 4-yard touchdown pass in defeat for the Bulldogs.
3-A Playoffs
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Austin Topham had a 3-yard touchdown run and Oran Finlinson added a 10-yard score as the Delta Rabbits overcame a 13-0 halftime deficit to down North Sanpete 14-13 Friday in the first round of the 3-A playoffs. In defeat, Brady Jacobson threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to Parker Lee and Laramie Roberts had a 3-yard touchdown run for the Hawks. Delta next faces Richfield Friday October 30 at 6:00 pm in the 3-A state quarterfinals.
BLANDING, Utah-Jace Palmer threw four touchdown passes and ran for another score as the San Juan Broncos humbled Manti 41-27 in the first round of the 3-A playoffs Friday. In defeat, Jax Parry threw touchdown passes of 26 yards to Tyson Brenchley and 10 yards to Hayden Wade. Adam DeMille added a 12-yard touchdown run and Tyler Taukieaho posted a 46-yard scoring run in the loss for the Templars. San Juan next faces Juab in the 3-A state quarterfinals October 30 at 6:00 pm.
MORGAN, Utah-Tanner Belinski had scoring runs of 4, 20 and 77 yards as the Morgan Trojans decimated South Sevier 58-0 Friday in the first round of the 3-A playoffs. Ryder Lish added a 55-yard scoring run and returned a fumble 30 yards for another score for the Trojans. Zach Millward stepped up with a 30-yard touchdown run for Morgan. The Trojans’ defense also recorded a safety while Ryker Adams (30 yards) and Ty Wheeler (20 yards) each had pick sixes for Morgan. The Trojans next host Juan Diego October 30 at 6:00 pm in the 3-A state quarterfinals.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Gavin Brown threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Will Robinson as the Richfield Wildcats completed a comeback by downing Union 17-14 in the first round of the 3-A playoffs Friday. Kasey Giddings added a 3-yard touchdown run and Ty Morgan posted a 20-yard field goal for the Wildcats.
