3-A Playoffs

NEPHI, Utah-Easton Wright threw three touchdown passes and the Juab Wasps routed the Emery Spartans 54-14 in the first round of the 3-A playoffs Wednesday. Bodee Blackett added an 87-yard kickoff return for a score while Cade Bowring added a pair of touchdown runs for the Wasps in the victory. Juab next faces Morgan October 26 at 4:00 pm in the 3-A state quarterfinals.

2-A Playoffs

BEAVER, Utah-EJ Allred had a pair of touchdown runs and ran for another score as the Beaver Beavers pounded North Summit 55-14 Wednesday in the first round of the 2-A playoffs. Preston Roberts added a 35-yard interception return for a score for the Beavers. Porter Albrecht had two touchdown passes and ran for another score for the Beavers with Treyton Carter also stepping up with a 15-yard touchdown run for the Beavers. Beaver next faces Delta October 26 at 4:00 pm in the 2-A state quarterfinals.

Volleyball

Region 18

FILLMORE, Utah-Kanab outlasted Millard 3-2 Wednesday in Region 18 volleyball action. Kanab earned wins of 25-22, 25-18 and 25-11 in the first, fourth and fifth sets. The Eagles prevailed 25-22 and 25-21 in the second and third sets.
