Region 12

CASTLE DALE, Utah-Max Robinson netted 26 points, including three 3-pointers, as the Richfield  Wildcats waxed Emery 72-55 in Region 12 boys basketball action Friday. Jaxton Madsen and Kysen Curtis had 10 points apiece for the Spartans in defeat.

PRICE, Utah-Merrick Morgan led the way with 17 points and the Carbon Dinos stymied South Sevier 73-61 Friday in Region 12 boys basketball action. Ridge Tebbs had 23 points for the Rams in defeat.

Region 14

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Isaac Applegarth’s 13 points and 5 rebounds led the way as the North Sanpete Hawks downed Union 52-40 Friday in Region 14 boys basketball action. Boone Latham had 16 points in defeat for the Cougars.

Region 20

BICKNELL, Utah-Quadyn Tebbs led the way with 18 points, including three 3-pointers, and the Bryce Valley Mustangs stonewalled Wayne 63-49 in Region 20boys basketball action Friday. Sergio Vasquez added 16 points in victory for the Mustangs. Ethan Morrill’s game-high 28 points led the Badgers in the loss.

PANGUITCH, Utah-Ryker Hatch netted 15 points, all of which came on five 3-pointers, and the Panguitch Bobcats doubled up Water Canyon 58-29 Friday in Region 20 boys basketball action. Joseph Jessop and Devin Barlow had 9 points apiece for the Wildcats in defeat.

JUNCTION, Utah-Kelby Jessen stepped up with 17 points as the Piute Thunderbirds pounded Milford 68-30 in Region 20 boys basketball action Friday. Heston Sullivan and Treyton Rose had 7 points apiece in the loss for the Tigers.

Non-Region

FILLMORE, Utah-Peyton Rasmussen amassed 22 points and 8 rebounds 0n 9-14 from the field as the Millard Eagles improved to 5-6 on the season by besting North Sevier 68-55 Friday in non-region boys basketball action. Gavin Roper added 16 points and 11 rebounds on 4-7 from the field for the Eagles in victory. Millard proficiently shot 61.1 percent (11-18) in the 2nd half to outscore the Wolves 38-29 in the latter two quarters. Furthermore, the Eagles, who were -18 on the glass (40-22) at Gunnison Valley Wednesday, were +16 (39-23) on the boards against the Wolves Friday. Ethan Fielding had 16 points and 7 rebounds on 5-10 from the field in defeat for North Sevier.

The Eagles return to action Saturday by hosting the APA West Valley Eagles. North Sevier fell to 3-6 with the loss and commences its Region 16 season Wednesday by traveling to Monticello to face the Buckaroos.

Girls Basketball

Non-Region

BEAVER, Utah-Presley Chappell posted 15 points and the South Sevier Rams overpowered Beaver 47-28 in non-region girls basketball action Friday. Avery Brown led the Beavers in the loss with 9 points.

MORGAN, Utah-Nicole Willardson netted 16 points and the Richfield Wildcats humbled Morgan 57-47 Friday in non-region girls basketball action. Alyvia Jaffa had 17 points in defeat for the Trojans.
