JUNCTION, Utah-Kelby Jessen netted 13 points and the Piute Thunderbirds bested Panguitch 48-39 Thursday in Region 20 boys basketball action. Paxton Wolfley’s 13 points led the Bobcats in the loss.

BICKNELL, Utah-Axel Anguiano posted 20 points and the Green River Pirates edged Wayne 53-52 Thursday in non-region boys basketball action. Schade Torgerson and Tyrel Brian had 11 points apiece in defeat for the Badgers.

DELTA, Utah-The Delta Rabbits waxed American Leadership 49-37 Thursday in Region 14 girls basketball action at the Palladium.
MANTI, Utah-Katie Larsen stepped up with 12 points and the Manti Templars dismantled Juab 43-25 in Region 14 girls basketball action Thursday. Brynlee Bender and Willow Kay had 6 points apiece in the loss for the Wasps.
Region 15
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Debora Reis amassed 19 points and 20 rebounds and the Wasatch Academy Tigers pounded American Heritage 52-22 Thursday in Region 15 girls basketball action.
Region 16
GUNNISON, Utah-Kennday McQueen led the way with 18 points and the North Summit Braves waxed Gunnison Valley 66-33 Thursday in Region 16 girls basketball action. Kaylee Dyreng had 10 points in the loss for the Bulldogs.

ENTERPRISE, Utah-Averi Staheli posted 13 points and the Enterprise Wolves got past Beaver 49-41 in Region 18 girls basketball action Thursday. Avery Brown had 16 points in the loss for the Beavers.
Wrestling
FILLMORE, Utah-The Millard Eagles beat Delta 37-21 in a non-region Millard County rivalry wrestling dual Thursday. There were only two pins on the night with Danny Garcia earning a pin for Millard and Maverick Caldwell getting a pin for Delta. The top match of the night featured No. 7 John Whitaker of Millard beating No. 9 Tate Willoughby of Delta 6-0 at 170 pounds.
