Region 16

SALINA, Utah-Creed Mogle netted 26 points on 11-17 from the field and Braxon Sylvester added 12 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds as the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs surged past North Sevier 68-61 Wednesday in Region 16 boys basketball action. The Bulldogs shot 50 percent for the game in improving to 9-5 on the season and 3-0 in Region 16 play. Burke Mickelsen posted 27 points and 5 rebounds on 11-17 in the loss for the Wolves, who fell to 8-6 and 2-1 in Region 16 play.

Region 14

LINDON, Utah-Ty Allred posted 20 points, including five 3-pointers as the Juab Wasps routed Maeser Prep 56-34 in Region 14 boys basketball action Wednesday. Matt Miller netted 14 points in the loss for the Lions.

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Kevin Clark led the way with 17 points and the Manti Templars clobbered North Sanpete 87-39 Wednesday in Region 14 boys basketball action. Brady Jacobson had 11 points for the Hawks in defeat.

Region 18

PAROWAN, Utah-Clay Shakespear led the Kanab Cowboys with 18 points in a narrow 57-56 win over Parowan in Region 18 boys basketball action Wednesday. Max Topham netted 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in the loss for the Rams.

ENTERPRISE, Utah-Tyce Davies stepped up with 15 points and the Millard Eagles got past Enterprise 44-40 Wednesday in Region 18 boys basketball action. Levi Randall led the Wolves in the loss with 11 points.

Girls Basketball

Region 20

HILDALE, Utah-Brooklyn Syrett posted 20 points and the Bryce Valley Mustangs humbled Water Canyon 47-38 in Region 20 girls basketball action Wednesday. Melissa Jessop had 15 points in the loss for the Wildcats.

MILFORD, Utah-Kinsey Williams led the way with 15 points as the Milford Tigers stonewalled Panguitch 53-40 Wednesday in Region 20 girls basketball action. Mataya Barney posted 20 points for the Bobcats in defeat.

ESCALANTE, Utah-Kassidy Westwood netted 18 points and the Piute Thunderbirds got past Piute 50-41 in Region 20 girls basketball action Wednesday. Mikki Prows led the Moquis in the loss with 18 points.

ORDERVILLE, Utah-Paige Harris led the way with 9 points as the Valley Buffaloes waxed Wayne 40-27 Wednesday in Region 20 girls basketball action. Abby Stevens led the Badgers with 14 points in defeat.

Wrestling

MONROE, Utah-The South Sevier Rams beat North Sevier 44-33 in a non-region wrestling dual Wednesday. The Rams earned the win on Senior Night, the final home dual of the season for South Sevier.
