CEDAR CITY, Utah-Former North Sevier girls’ basketball star Peyton Shepherd (Torgerson) had her best game as a collegian while her Southern Utah Thunderbirds fell 78-69 to Northern Arizona Monday at the America First Event Center.

Shepherd posted 14 points and 3 assists in 19 minutes of action for the Thunderbirds, while shooting 5 of 10 from the field and a respectable 4 of 9 behind the arc.

Shepherd and her SUU teammates fell to 5-13 with the loss and are next in action Thursday as they host the Eastern Washington Eagles at the America First Event Center.
