Numerous Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network Athletes Excel At Sanpete Classic

FAIRVIEW, Utah-Tuesday, amid a rain-soaked course at the Skyline Golf Course, numerous Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network athletes competed and excelled at the Sanpete Classic Cross Country Invitational.

The Richfield girls won the team title with a collective score of 41, with Juab placing fourth at 94 points. Manti and North Sanpete’s girls finished sixth and seventh, respectively.

Juab’s Maura Williams placed second overall in the girls’ 3-mile posting a time of 19:48.90. Wasatch Academy’s Ashley Lagat (20:04.20) and Sheilah Cheuriyot (20:16.80) placed third and fourth, respectively.

Juab’s Emilia Anderson (21:00.00) placed fifth, while Richfield’s Jamie Holt (21:04.60), SeOnna Southwick (21:13.50) and Nora Foster (21:26.70) finished sixth, seventh and 10th respectively.

For the boys, Richfield finished fourth with 102 points, North Sanpete finished fifth, posting 163 points, Juab finished seventh with 211 points, Manti finished eighth with 219 points and South Sevier was 12th with 343 points.

Richfield’s Keenan Janke finished third in a time of 19:05.80 and North Sanpete’s Jared Strait finished eighth in a time of 19:37.90.
