North Sanpete Boys Place 10th at Wasatch High Cross Country Invitational

HEBER CITY, Utah-Saturday, the North Sanpete Hawks’ boys cross country team showed well at the Wasatch High Cross Country Invitational, placing 10th overall.

In the boys’ 5-K, the Hawks were paced by Matt Hindes who placed 22nd overall in a time of 18:26.50.

His teammates were also solid, including Orange Peel (42nd overall), Gage Cox (60th overall), Adrian Lemus (72nd overall), Cayler Cook (82nd overall), Vance Strait (86th overall) and Wynn Allred (88th place).

The overall boys winner was American Fork’s Carson Clinger in a time of 16:59:00 and his Cavemen earned the title with 35 points.

For the girls in the 5-K, Wasatch Academy’s Sheilah Cheruiyot placed 7th overall (21:37.90) with her teammate, Ashley Legat finishing 13th. Purity Kattam placed 44th overall as well for the Tigers.

The girls’ overall winner was Lehi’s Anna Martin in 19:01.10 while the team title was earned by Mountain View with an overall score of 39 points.
