NCAA Women’s Golf Roundup: 9/11

SPRINGVILLE, Utah-Tuesday, Southern Utah’s Chanikan (Pluem) Yongyuan took the individual title at the Hobble Creek Fall Classic at Hobble Creek Golf Course by shooting a -3.

Her contributions helped the Thunderbirds finish fourth overall by amassing a collective team score of 891.

Additionally, for SUU, Kamonwan (Poy) Prasurtwong tied for 18th while Launa Wilson tied for 24th and Kyla Smith and Lexie Hamel tied for 49th and 66th respectively, in the overall standings.

Earning the team title was the Tulsa Golden Hurricane with a score of 877. They were led by Olivia Jackson who placed fourth overall.

Utah Valley finished second in the standings with a score of 879 as Carly Dehlin Hirsch tied for fourth, becoming the highest-placing Wolverine.

ANACONDA, Mont.-Tuesday, Weber State women’s golf placed fourth overall to conclude the Battle at Old Works Golf Tournament hosted by Montana State University at Anaconda, Mont.

The team title was earned by North Dakota State and Eastern Washington as the Bison and Eagles tied with a score of 908 (+44).

The individual title was won by the Eagles’ Alexa Clark who finished at +3 with a score of 219.

The highest-placing Wildcat was Kirsten Convoy, who was +8, posting a score of 224.

Her teammates, Morgan Bentley and Gabby Denunzio tied for 18th overall at +19. Other Weber State golfers to compete were Kameryn Basye who tied for  32nd (+26) and Taitum Beck who finished tied for 35th at +28.
