ANNAPOLIS, Md.-Wednesday, Navy athletic director Chet Gladchuk confirmed there will be no fans in attendance September 7 when the Midshipmen host BYU.
Gladchuk stated his rationale, saying that the possibility of covid-19 transmission is playing a role in this decision.
Gladchuk also expressed hope that for subsequent home football games this season, the Midshipmen can have fans in the stands.
He confirmed all Navy football season ticket holders will be provided information via email in regard to ticket and attendance options.
