CEDAR CITY, Utah-Wednesday, Southern Utah University men’s basketball senior guard Matthew Johnson has been named to the 2019-20 National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court for the second consecutive season.
Additionally, Utah Valley senior guard Conner Toolson received this distinction.
Others included Utah State senior guards Sam Merrill and Diego Brito.
This honor recognizes men’s college basketball student-athletes who have excelled academically during the past season.
This honors court lauds the talents and skills student-athletes possess on the court and exemplify in the classroom.
To be eligible for this award, student-athletes must be either juniors or seniors academically, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 over the course of the past season, have attended the school in question for at least a year and be a member of an NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III or NAIA Division I or Division II school’s team with an NABC member coach.
