LOGAN, Utah-Per numerous reports, former Youngstown State men’s basketball head coach Jerrod Calhoun was hired to the same position at Utah State Friday night.

Calhoun coached at Youngstown State for seven seasons, leading the Penguins to a record of 118-106 (.527).

Calhoun played at Cleveland State as a collegian from 2001-2003, averaging 3 points a game for the Vikings.

Calhoun had signed a five-year extension with Youngstown State in March 2023 and has led the Penguins to five consecutive winning seasons.
