ST. GEORGE, Utah-Tuesday, Dixie State baseball junior first baseman/outfielder Jake Engel was named as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s player of the week for his achievements this past weekend.

Engel, a junior infielder out of Tucson, Ariz., batted .545 and added two home runs and 11 RBI against the Colorado State Pueblo-Thunderwolves, a series the Trailblazers split 2-2.

This season, for the 22-8 (12-4 in RMAC play) Trailblazers, Engel is batting .410 and has amassed 12 home runs and 37 RBI.
