PROVO, Utah-Thursday, as the 2021 BYU Collegiate Cougar I Indoor Invitational commenced at the Smith Fieldhouse, a former Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network star excelled.

Cougars junior Austin Carter, a former star athlete at Beaver High School, won the men’s shot put title with a toss of 53-075. He bested unattached competitor Danny Bryant, who had a throw of 51-00.50.
