Former American Fork High Standout Brendan Bailey To Turn Pro

MILWAUKEE-Friday, Marquette men’s basketball forward, sophomore Brendan Bailey, confirmed he will be going pro.

Bailey, who starred at American Fork High School, is the son of former Utah Jazz and Minnesota Timberwolves forward Thurl Bailey.

Brendan Bailey is a 6-8 200-pound forward who averaged 5.1 points and 3.4 rebounds per game in two seasons with the Golden Eagles.

He came to Marquette in time for the 2018-19 season after serving a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Washington D.C.

Brendan Bailey said he made this decision after counseling with his family and thanks his coaches and the entire Marquette family.

Golden Eagles head coach Steve Wojciechowski said “we wish Brendan the best of luck and are supportive of his decision to take the next step in his basketball career to the professional level.”
