SALT LAKE CITY-Elier Hernandez homered and doubled and the Round Rock Express secured a series split with Salt Lake, prevailing 9-4 Sunday at Smith’s Ballpark.
Because of rain in the 8th Inning, a weather delay was declared and ultimately, the game was ruled over.
Cole Winn earned the win on the mound for Round Rock, posting two strikeouts in five innings of work.
David MacKinnon, Kean Wong and Orlando Martinez each had RBI in defeat for the Bees, who fell to 12-12 with the loss.
The Express improves to 15-9 on the season with the win.
The Bees return to action Tuesday at Smith’s Ballpark by hosting the Tacoma Rainiers for a six-game series.
