ST. GEORGE, Utah-In a game that saw 98 net points and 1,166 net yards of offense the Dixie State Trailblazers managed to overpower South Dakota Mines 51-47 Saturday at Trailblazers Stadium.

The 3-1 Trailblazers saw Sei-J Laugao run for the go-ahead and game-winning score from five yards out with 1:39 left.

Lauago amassed 192 scrimmage yards and ran for three scores to help the Trailblazers overcome a 47-44 deficit. Fellow tailback Lawrence Starks ran for 59 yads on nine carries, as he and Laugao averaged well over 6 yards a carry for Dixie State.

Giovanni Sanders amassed four receptions for 80 yards for Dixie State as well in the win.

In the loss, Jake Sullivan completed 31 of 56 passes for 416 yards, 2 TD’s and 2 INT’s for the Hardrockers while Kevin Thompson posted 15 carries for 118 yards and a touchdown for South Dakota Mines.
