ST. GEORGE, Utah-Monday, Dixie State football redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Dylan Hendrickson has been named as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference defensive player of the week for his contributions to the Trailblazers’ 28-16 win over South Dakota Mines Saturday.

Hendrickson amassed a school-record 4.5 sacks and a career-high 13 tackles (including five solo stops) against the Hardrockers as Dixie State improved to 3-1 on the season.

This is the Trailblazers’ first weekly honor of this football season.

Dixie State (3-1, 3-1 in RMAC play) returns to Trailblazers Stadium for the first time in three weeks to host Black Hills State for a 1:00 pm kickoff.
