Dixie State Football Adds Future Opponents

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Wednesday, Dixie State football announced future opponents as the Trailblazers continue to prepare for their Division I era.

Three of these four future opponents are from the FCS and one from the FBS.

The Trailblazers announced a two-game series with traditional Missouri Valley Conference power South Dakota State in 2020 and 2021. Both games against the Jackrabbits will be at Brookings, S.D.

Additionally, in 2020 Dixie State will play two more Missouri Valley Conference games, at Vermillion, S.D. against the South Dakota Coyotes and at Normal, Ill. against the Illinois State Redbirds.

In 2021, Dixie State will play at FBS independent New Mexico State at Las Cruces, N.M.

The Aggies will historically be the Trailblazers’ first FBS opponent with Dixie State also to make forays to Provo to play BYU in 2022 and to Fort Collins, Colo. to play Colorado State in 2023.
