ST. GEORGE, Utah-Tuesday, Dixie State standout women’s golfer Cailyn Cardall earned a prestigious All-American scholar award from the Women’s Golf Coaches Association.

Cardall, a freshman out of Rocklin, Calif., is carrying a 3.65 GPA as an elementary education major for the Trailblazers.

As a competitor, she earned third-team All-Pac West honors in her debut season after collecting five Top 20 finishes in nine events.

She also tied for a season-best 13th place at the Pac-West championships, recording three straight Top 20 finishes.

Overall, Cardall was second on the squad with a 78.37 scoring average in 19 competitive rounds with one round of par or better.
