PROVO, Utah-As confirmed Wednesday, BYU men’s basketball will spend this upcoming Thanksgiving competing in the 2025 Terry’s Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational at the State Farm Field House of Kissimmee, Fla. November 27 (Thanksgiving Day) with the championship and consolation games Friday November 28.
The Cougars are competing in the MAGIC bracket, along with Georgetown, Miami (Fla.) and Dayton.
The IMAGINATION bracket (played November 27 -28) consists of Charlotte, Furman, Illinois State and Richmond.
The ADVENTURE bracket will be played November 24-26 with a field consisting of Bradley, Liberty, Princeton, Rhode Island, Temple, Towson, UC San Diego and Vermont.
BYU is 0-1 all-time against Georgetown with the Hoyas prevailing 67-51 February 11, 1984 at Washington D.C.
The Cougars are 3-0 all-time against Dayton, most recently defeating the Flyers, 79-75 November 25, 2022 at the Battle 4 Atlantis at Paradise Island of the Bahamas.
The Cougars and Hurricanes are 2-2 all-time on the hardwood, with BYU most recently prevailing over Miami (Fla.) 99-86 February 4, 1989 at the Marriott Center.
Additionally, per a source, BYU will meet Wisconsin November 21 at the Delta Center as confirmed Wednesday. The Badgers lead the Cougars 2-1 all-time in a series dating back to 1931. The Cougars defeated Wisconsin 91-89 March 22 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in the most recent meeting.
