PROVO, Utah-In news from Sunday, BYU Football moved up to No. 13 in the Amway Coaches poll and No. 14 in The Associated Press Top 25.
The Cougars improved to 4-0 this past Saturday by outlasting Texas-San Antonio 27-20.
The No. 13 ranking is the highest the program has achieved under head coach Kalani Sitake (2016-present).
It is BYU’s best ranking since 2009 when the Cougars were ranked No. 7 in The Associated Press poll.
Presently, the Cougars rank No. 4 in total defense nationally (250.5 yards per game) and No. 4 in scoring defense (11 points per game).
Furthermore, BYU is No. 5 nationally in total offense (556.8 yards per game).
The Cougars next face the Houston Cougars Friday evening at 7:30 pm at Houston.
