PROVO, Utah-Friday, BYU football hosts Utah State in a rivalry that dates back to 1922.
The Cougars and Aggies, who are meeting for the 88th time in history this week, vie for the Old Wagon Wheel, a tradition between the schools since 1948.
The Cougars lead the all-time series 48-36-3 while the Aggies have won three out of the last four in the series.
At Provo, the Cougars have an all-time lead of 28-17-1 in the series and this year, the Aggies are only the latest tough foe BYU has faced on the season.
Per ratings from USA Today sports statistician Jeff Sagarin, BYU has played the fifth-toughest schedule in college football this season.
The only teams in college football with tougher rows to hoe in 2018 thus far, per Sagarain, are South Carolina, USC, UCLA and Iowa State.
USC and BYU are the only schools on that list with winning records.
For the Aggies, this is their final non-conference game of the season as they exclusively return to Mountain West Conference play from here on out.
The Aggies, who are fresh off of a bye, are 6-0 after a bye since head coach Matt Wells took over the reins in 2013.
The high-scoring Aggies have also scored at least 30 points every game this season. This is the first time in program history this has happened through the first four games of a season.
Furthermore, the Aggies have scored at least 40 points in their last three games.
This game is slated for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff and will be joined in progress after our high school football broadcasts have concluded on the Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network on KSVC AM-980 and 100.5 FM.
