PROVO, Utah-Friday, BYU Football added junior college tailback Hinckley Ropati for the class of 2021.
Ropati, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is coming off of a highly successful freshman season at Cerritos (Calif.) College.
Ropati ran for 647 yards and 10 touchdowns last season for the Falcons. His best performance came in a 45-42 win over Fullerton as he ran for 75 yards and a season-best four scores.
The 5-11 210-pound Ropati made his announcement on his Twitter account Friday evening.

Ropati is one of five commitments for the Cougars’ class of 2021. Others include Timpview High School defensive back/ATH Raider Damuni, tackle Weston Jones (Romeo, Mich.), Maple Mountain High School receiver Kyson High School and East defensive lineman/outside linebacker Ricky Wolfgramm.
